If I wrote a personal ad

This weekend I sat down and read Diane Mapes’ book, How to Date in a Post-Dating World. I first read Mapes’ work in the Seattle Times and saw her book at Barnes & Noble; decided to pick it up for S+Gs. Five months later, I made time to read it. The book made me laugh…can’t believe how horrible some dates went. However, it did give my some great insights on things, and made me re-evaluate myself as a person. I definitely recommend reading it, even if you’re not looking to date. You can follow Diane on Twitter at @Single_Shot.

My friends often joke about my monastic devotion to art, code + design, and not dating. I thought it’d be fun to write a mock personal ad. Please note that the personal ad is only half-joking

Looking for a Love API to Authenticate

I am secure and happy with myself…I am CSS looking for my HTML. Looking for a girl who is comfortable dressing up for Comicon or just hanging at home in a 3-wolf moon shirt. My ideal girl should really find the brilliance of a video of a stormtrooper dancing. I am self-aware like Skynet, honest and great at dynamic content. I like to make people LOL.

I have a stable career, my own place and have seen Terminator 2:Judgment Day 399 times.

A girl who uses Macs, Dropbox and loves to eat sushi is very important to me. To be honest, I don’t think I can compromise. Though it works in some cases, I find it very difficult to date a non-Dropbox user. Must love LOL Cats.

Let’s tweet and see what happens…maybe it’ll lead to DMs.
